What is Social CRM?
Social Customer Relationship Management (Social CRM) is an organisational approach and technology solution that integrates traditional CRM practices with social media interactions. It intends to support organizations in better understanding, engaging with, and serving their customers via social media and other online channels.
Key Features/Benefits of Social CRM
Monitoring Social Media
Social CRM entails tracking and analysing mentions, discussions, and feedback linked to a company’s products, services, or brand on social media channels, forums, blogs, and other online platforms. This information can be used to gain insight into client sentiment and preferences.
Interaction and Engagement
Social CRM encourages businesses to engage with customers on social media actively. Responding to consumer enquiries, addressing concerns, distributing content, and participating in relevant conversations are examples.

Sorry just a mini rant bc genuinely appalled at the way some of my coworkers talk about not eating during work. Like buddy we're working CRM. It is a very labour intensive job. It's July and frequently over 30°C. The way you talk about not eating anything til dinner (and sometimes not anything beyond a granola bar all day) is terrifying. Obviously money for food can be tight (I'm feeling it rn) but I've spoken with some of them and they have and can afford food and they almost seem to be bragging about making it through the day on nothing. You are going to collapse! You should be eating!
So yeah my coworkers may not listen to me but to any fellow archaeologists please remember to eat! Even if you're staying hydrated that won't be enough if you're also not eating properly for days. Please take care of yourself in the field.
Everyone should be taking breaks to eat, hydrate, reapply sunscreen, and stretch. Yes, even if you don't feel like you need to. Yes, even if other people are "working through it." Toughing it out is not a badge of honor. It is dangerous, and unnecessarily so.
Just because you can go without doesn't mean you should. Your body is not suddenly the exception to the biological necessities of eating and drinking. Keeping your body nourished is part of long term care for your health. No work is worth shortchanging that.
This applies to all work, not just archaeological excavation. If you're reading this and thinking I totally support this for everyone else, not for me though THIS IS FOR YOU. Taking breaks sets a precedent. Because even if you don't need the break, someone else does, and if you take yours, you're contributing to a work environment where that person can take theirs. There's a reason unions have fought for breaks in pretty much every industry.

Getting Customization Right in Dynamics 365
Microsoft Dynamics 365 is one of the most flexible business platforms available, offering the tools to adapt processes, workflows, and user experiences to unique business needs. But this adaptability can backfire when customizations are made without a clear strategy. Over time, rushed or undocumented changes lead to cluttered interfaces, slow performance, upgrade challenges, and difficult maintenance.
A smart approach to customization begins with configuration. Native tools like business rules, Power Automate, and custom views are powerful enough to handle many requirements without writing a single line of code. Using these first ensures a system that is agile, easier to upgrade, and more user-friendly.
When deeper customization becomes necessary, it must be executed with discipline. This means creating custom entities only when truly needed, following consistent naming conventions, and organizing components into modular solution layers. Customizations should be developed and tested in isolated environments and deployed to production using managed solutions—ensuring version control, cleaner updates, and better governance.
Avoiding risky shortcuts is just as important. Directly altering default entities, using unsupported scripts, or hardcoding environment-specific information can all cause breakages with future updates. Instead, all changes should be well-documented, and every dependency should be tracked to reduce future troubleshooting.
An effective development lifecycle includes source control, sandbox testing, phased deployments, and ongoing system maintenance. As needs evolve, regular cleanups and documentation updates help keep the platform efficient and transparent. Administrators should maintain a living manual that outlines customization history, logic, and decisions for continuity and audits.
For example, a healthcare provider needing to track patient onboarding built a dedicated custom entity rather than modifying core contact records. With flows, rules, and smart linking, they tailored the system to their needs without risking stability—a model of efficient customization.
With the right approach, Dynamics 365 can be both deeply personalized and resilient. The key lies in balancing flexibility with foresight, ensuring that every customization strengthens the system instead of compromising it.

Seamless Shifts: Building Business Continuity with Dynamics 365 Migration Services
Organizations using legacy ERP or CRM systems often face slow performance, fragmented data, and limited scalability. This has led many to pursue Dynamics 365 migration as a reliable step toward modernization and efficiency. With increasing adoption of cloud-first infrastructure, shifting workloads to Microsoft’s business applications platform has become a key move for growing enterprises.
Dynamics 365 migration services help businesses move from on-premise systems, outdated applications, or other cloud solutions into Microsoft’s ecosystem. This shift is not just about technology upgrades — it’s about reconfiguring business processes for better data access, smoother collaboration, and predictive analytics.
Trends in Dynamics 365 Migration
Cloud-first strategy: Companies migrating to Dynamics 365 often couple the transition with Azure Migration Services. This offers a scalable and secure foundation, ensuring compatibility with Microsoft services and minimizing disruptions.
Data cleanup and consolidation: Migrations are being used as opportunities to remove redundant data and improve master data accuracy across sales, finance, operations, and service functions.
Accelerated deployments: Preconfigured templates and automation tools are now being used to shorten deployment cycles, especially for clients migrating from earlier Dynamics versions or competing platforms like Salesforce or SAP.
Security compliance: Dynamics 365 offers built-in GDPR compliance, encryption, and access management. Migrating from legacy systems can significantly strengthen an organization’s data security posture.
What Migration Involves
Assessment and Planning
Identifying existing systems and data dependencies
Creating a roadmap for feature mapping, downtime planning, and licensing requirements
Data Preparation
Cleaning, formatting, and structuring datasets
Prioritizing high-value data for retention and compliance
System Integration
Ensuring integrations with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or third-party systems
Planning for APIs and business logic replication
Testing and Validation
Conducting functional and user acceptance testing
Monitoring system behavior post-migration
User Enablement
Training teams on new workflows and features
Supporting change management to ensure a smooth transition
When to Consider Migration
Your current ERP or CRM system is nearing end-of-life or has become cost-intensive to maintain
You require mobile accessibility, real-time insights, or automation features not available in your legacy tools
You’re expanding globally or across departments and need consistent, scalable infrastructure
You want to leverage Power Platform components such as Power BI integration or Power Automate for business process optimization
